Touch-a-truck

I started the day with the idea of going for a hike with the family after church but somewhere in our thirty second drive Rob found about about a touch-a-truck event. So there's where we ended up. Of course so much fun for Andrew and Victoria. Glad we didn't miss it.

Here is one of many photos taken on Monday.  I love these kids.  I am thankful everyday that I have been given the privilege of being their mom. 

And now we are six.

Today is Victoria's 6th birthday.  She is such a beautiful girl.  Sensitive and silly, caring and dramatic.  She is a love.  I can hardly believe she is no longer a baby.  So much has happened in 6 years yet it's gone by in a blink of an eye.  Victoria has done so much in 6 short years she's traveled to Washington DC, to Florida, to Alberta, to California (3 times).  She loves to dance and sing and has a million questions about everything each day.  She is clumsy and messy in the most comical way.  She never makes it through a meal out spilling her drink or dropping food on her self.  Her beautiful bedroom is a beautiful mess each and every day.  Her artwork is always scattered about, her changes of clothes cover the floor.  And although there is a level of frustration when your kid doesn't pick up I know it is just part of her and there is creativity in her mess.  I love her so much and wish her a happy day today and everyday that follows.

Victoria turns 6 - tomorrow

This beautiful girl turns 6 tomorrow. I had to take one last photo of her while she's 5.  Bedtime now. When we wake Victoria will be a big 6 year old girl.

80 degrees in May a beautiful gift

Today was so beautiful- close to 80 degrees out sunny and slightly humid. I got the yard and house ready for our first in home photo session. Kids did great. Our photographer Danny Ebersole and his wife Brandi are such awesome people. I love them already and look forward to spending more time with them. Their baby girl Vera Lou is a beauty. I love babies- but I'm done (don't worry). Highlight of the day - Andrew bear spraying sunblock in his eyes. Comically sad. Hated knowing he was hurting but he was running around like a mad hornet I couldn't help but laugh a bit.

Happy Mother's Day !

So there really is no greater gift for me than nice weather. So for kids to be on a slip n' slide at 10:30 on Mother's Day morning is awesome. Birds are tweeting and flowers are blooming. I have my kids and husband. Feeling loved and blessed today.
